Basketball Recap: North Central Find Success

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but North Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-48 win over the Ainsworth Bulldogs. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 69-41 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Ainsworth lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Logan Schroedl, who posted 21 points and eight boards. Those 21 points gave Schroedl a new career-high. Morgan Kinney was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to nine rebounds and six steals.

The win made it two in a row for North Central and bumps their season record up to 4-10. As for Ainsworth, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home.

North Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-49 victory against Anselmo-Merna on the 24th. Ainsworth has also already played their next matchup (against Niobrara/Verdigre), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
