North Branch barely beat Zimmerman the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings put the hurt on the Thunder with a sharp 14-4 victory on Monday. The Vikings' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

North Branch's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Zimmerman, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Coming up, North Branch is taking a road trip to face off against Princeton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Zimmerman, they will square off against Chisago Lakes Area at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Thunder's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
