Basketball Recap: Chilton Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Chilton Christian Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Monday, dropping them down to 0-7. They fell 56-47 to the Tuscaloosa Christian Warriors. The Patriots lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 67-31 score last time.

Despite the loss, Chilton Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Cayman Hamilton, who went 8-for-20 to rack up 25 points along with eight boards and six blocks. The matchup was Hamilton's sixth in a row with at least 17 points. Ezekiel Sullivan also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

As for Tuscaloosa Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points over those games.

Tuscaloosa Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Josiah Wiggins led the charge by putting up 21 points and eight rebounds. Those eight boards gave Wiggins a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaeson Dogan, who shot 80% from the field en route to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Chilton Christian Academy has already played their next contest (against Conecuh Springs Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Tuscaloosa Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-35 win against Tuscaloosa Home Educators on the 2nd.
