Conestoga falls despite big games from Alyssa Batt and Ayla Garrett

Recap: Conestoga Cougars vs. Douglas County West Falcon

The Conestoga Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 14th straight defeat. They were beaten by Douglas County West 76-34. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Conestoga in their matchups with Douglas County West: they've now lost five in a row.

Conestoga's loss came despite strong showings from Ayla Garrett and Alyssa Batt. Garrett almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds, while Batt scored eight points along with two blocks.

Douglas County West's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Holm, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 3 assists. Another player making a difference was Ava Grimm, who scored 16 points.
