Philadelphia Public - AA recap Oct. 9, 2012
Communications Tech moved up to 398 from 438 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Philadelphia Public - AA. A 27-0 win over Roxborough helped Communications Tech improve its standing.
Imhotep Charter extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Delaware Valley Charter, 34-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Prep Charter's dynamic duo of Vion Dolo and John Graham proved tough for School of the Future to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dolo threw for 92 yards and one touchdown and Graham had 71 yards receiving. Asa Manley helped Prep Charter's passing attack out by catching one ball for 15 yards.
David Williams was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 143 yards on 19 carries as Imhotep Charter bested School of the Future. Teammate Eerin Young added to the ground attack by rushing for 82 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Andre Dreuitt and Young Albie Crosby's team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Dreuitt leads the league in passing with 503 yards, while Young has rushed for 625 yards this season. Tony Beaty's team's Graham leads the league in receiving yards with 309 on 20 catches.
A big matchup in Philadelphia Public - AA this week will be when Prep Charter takes on Communications Tech. At the moment, Prep Charter is in second, while Communications Tech is in third.
