Baseball Recap: Lloyd Memorial Comes Up Short

After flying high against Grant County last Saturday, Lloyd Memorial came back down to earth. The Juggernauts came up short against the St. Henry Crusaders on Tuesday, falling 8-1. The Juggernauts were not able to make up for their loss to the Crusaders from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Lloyd Memorial has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for St. Henry, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lloyd Memorial will host Scott at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for St. Henry, they will welcome Holy Cross at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
