Baseball Recap: Altus Takes a Loss

Altus lost to Elk City back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs fell 6-2 to the Elks. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Altus got a good showing from Connor Silva, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Tate Saxon made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Altus' loss dropped their record down to 11-14-1. As for Elk City, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Altus will challenge Canute at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Elk City, they will square off against Weatherford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
