Football Recap: Brunswick's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

If Brunswick was feeling good fresh off their 35-7 takedown of Medina last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Cleveland Heights Tigers by a score of 24-21 on Friday. The Blue Devils were up 21-6 in the third quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Brunswick didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Drew Dempsey and Cohen Easa. Dempsey also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 14. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Brunswick moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Cleveland Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.
