Basketball Recap: Raymondville Beats IDEA Robindale for Their Third Straight Win

Raymondville had won two straight games and Colt Cavazos did his part to make it three on Friday. The Raymondville Bearkats came out on top against the IDEA Robindale Aviators by a score of 57-46 thanks in part to Cavazos, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 boards. What's more, he also racked up six steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2023.

Another player making a difference was Jaden Mendez, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played.

Raymondville's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for IDEA Robindale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Raymondville will host IDEA Weslaco Pike at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Raymondville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.3 points per game this season. As for IDEA Robindale, they will head out to face off against IDEA Sports Park at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
