Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Sports Leadership & Management, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pirate skirted past the Bulls 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirate have posted since April 13, 2024.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon wouldn't go down easily and took Sports Leadership & Management into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-20, 25-16, 19-25, 15-13.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

After both having extra time off, Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon and Desert Pines will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will take on Hurricane in a tournament on Friday.
