Softball Recap: Springstead Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Springstead extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-0. They never let the Nature Coast Tech Sharks get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The Eagles' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three contests.

The result came thanks to Alivia Miller's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Rachel Rivera was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Nature Coast Tech fell to 2-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

On Nature Coast Tech's side, Izzy Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Nature Coast Tech saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miranda Wiemer, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Looking ahead, Springstead will host Hernando at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nature Coast Tech, they will head out on the road to take on Weeki Wachee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
