Soccer Recap: Lumberton Comes Up Short

Lumberton lost against Purnell Swett back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pirates came up short against the Rams, falling 6-0. Lumberton have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lumberton's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for Purnell Swett, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Lumberton is taking a road trip to square off against Cape Fear at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cape Fear will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Lumberton surely won't give up without a fight. Purnell Swett has already played their next game (against Hoke County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
