Basketball Recap: Aquinas Takes a Loss

Aquinas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by the Baldwin Braves 78-17. The contest marked the Fightin' Irish's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Kassidy Neal continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Baldwin, dropping a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds. That's the most boards Neal has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Janaye Walker, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds.

Aquinas' defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Baldwin, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Aquinas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 59-37 loss against Hephzibah on the 10th. Baldwin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
