Heritage is a perfect 3-0 against Falls Lake since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Heritage will be playing at home against Falls Lake at 4:30 p.m. Heritage is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Heritage and Holly Springs had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Heritage fell 9-5 to Holly Springs on Friday.

Emily Claudio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and six unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Hayden Callahan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Sam Langdon was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Falls Lake hadn't done well against Vance Charter recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Falls Lake put the hurt on Vance Charter with a sharp 9-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Firebirds, who have now won three contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Falls Lake pushed their record up to 4-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Everything went Heritage's way against Falls Lake when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Heritage made off with a 13-3 victory. Will Heritage repeat their success, or does Falls Lake has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
