Baseball Game Preview: Union County Braves vs. Trinity Raiders

The Union County Braves will venture away from home to challenge the Trinity Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Union County hasn't scored more than a single run for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Monday, Union County came up short against Caldwell County and fell 6-1.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Trinity's offense. They fell 4-0 to Hopkins County Central on Thursday.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Union County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Union County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Trinity struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Union County got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2024 against Trinity by a conclusive 12-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
