League recap: Hamilton overpowering for Hart in past week

Foothill league recap: 3/8/13

Hart's Aaron Hamilton was the best pitcher in Foothill this week. He won one game and struck out seven batters.

Top honors in the league this week go to the Indians, which finished with three wins overall, good for best in the league. Hart beat Simi Valley 2-1, St. Bonaventure 2-1 and Thousand Oaks 3-0.

After surrendering only zero walks in the past week, Valencia remains No. 1 in the league in that category for the season, with just zero total.

The league boasted 14 .400 hitters over the past week. Leading the pack was Max Weinstein, who hit .833 by going 10-for-12.

The week's strikeout crown belonged to Josh Baldacci, who turned in nine Ks for Golden Valley. With 12 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks fifth in the league.



Chris Devery was an RBI machine on Tuesday, as he knocked in four runs during Saugus's 8-1 win over Camarillo. He went 1-for-3 and scored one run.

Max Weinstein led Royal to a win on March 2, as he notched eight strikeouts to beat Canyon, 3-2. He gave up two hits and three runs over five innings of work.
