Softball Recap: Lanesville Eagles vs. New Washington Mustangs

Makenna Mills made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last four games she's played.
In other batting news, Lanesville let Madelyn Magner and Brooklyn Albers run wild. Magner went 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI, while Albers went 2-for-4 with two triples and two RBI. Those two triples gave Albers a new career-high.
