Champaign Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Mt. Zion onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Saturday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Maroons needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.
Meanwhile, Richwoods hasn't lost a match since August 31st, a trend which continued in their latest game on Saturday. Everything went their way against Morton as Richwoods made off with a 4-0 win. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Potters are ranked 156th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
