San Clemente entered their tilt with El Toro on Wednesday with ten consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 11. They came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 5-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Monday.

Sean Chetakian tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

At the plate, San Clemente saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mike Erspamer, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Erspamer has posted since back in March.

San Clemente hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive contests.

San Clemente's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for El Toro, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-13.

San Clemente will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chargers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
