Basketball Recap: California's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

California lost against Boonville back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The California Pintos fell just short of the Boonville Pirates by a score of 54-52. The Pintos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

California's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-5. As for Boonville, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

California and Boonville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. California (ranked 116th) will meet Linn (ranked 509th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. California is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road dating back to last season. Meanwhile, Boonville will take on Marshall at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday up 181 places (141 vs. 322).
