Basketball Game Preview: LaPoynor Flyers vs. Leon Cougars

LaPoynor is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They managed a 68-64 win over Hawkins. LaPoynor's victory was all the more impressive since the Hawks were averaging only 28.07 points allowed on the season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Leon took on Union Grove on Tuesday. Leon walked away with a 47-35 win over Union Grove. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly 12 points.

Leon's victory bumped their record up to 28-5. As for LaPoynor, their win bumped their record up to 25-11.

LaPoynor strolled past Leon when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 42-26. Will LaPoynor repeat their success, or does Leon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
