The Lamphere Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Hazel Park Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Lamphere will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Cousino, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Rams walked away with an 11-7 win over the Patriots on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.
Brooke Harrison (2025) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, Faithlynn Donegan (2025) was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Ella Bennett was another key player, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hazel Park). They were the clear victors by a 28-3 margin over Lincoln on Friday. Considering the Vikings have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
La'Onna Otis (2027) was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with five stolen bases, six RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Griffiths (2027), who went 3-for-4 with eight stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.
Hazel Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .700. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
The victory snapped Hazel Park's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-14 record. As for Lamphere, their record now sits at 8-11.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lamphere hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .340. However, it's not like Hazel Park struggles in that department as they've averaged .364. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Lamphere's way against Hazel Park in their previous meeting back in June of 2024, as Lamphere made off with a 15-5 win. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
