Baseball Recap: Rittman Takes a Loss

Rittman blew Smithville out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Smithville got their revenge. The Indians fell just short of the Smithies by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Indians couldn't push the score so high this time.

Brayden Louk made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Rittman's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Smithville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rittman will welcome Crestline at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Smithville, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Hillsdale at 5:00 p.m.
