Fayetteville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They never let the Horseshoe Bend Generals onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Generals: they've now won three in a row.

Eli Burns was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Cole Hardy, who scored two runs and stole two bases.

Fayetteville will have a chance to go back-to-back against Horseshoe Bend: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
