Softball Game Preview: Bloomsburg Panthers vs. Central Columbia Bluejays

The Bloomsburg Panthers will take on the Central Columbia Bluejays at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bloomsburg has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 31.

Bloomsburg couldn't beat Milton on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the seventh inning. The Panthers lost 16-7 to the Black Panthers. Even though they lost, the Panthers' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Jenna Lykon and Kara Bodganowicz did some serious damage despite the final result: Lykon got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs, while Bodganowicz went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and four RBI.

Meanwhile, Central Columbia made easy work of Southern Columbia Area on Thursday and carried off a 16-2 win. The Bluejays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Central Columbia and bumps their season record up to 13-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Bloomsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.
