Softball Recap: Lake Braddock Bruins vs. West Potomac Wolverines
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Lake Braddock nor West Potomac made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Bruins came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 7-2. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
MacKenzie Verdejo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and not a single walk). Verdejo was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Addison Forde was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Natalie Chappell was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI.
