Football Game Preview: Concordia Lutheran Crusaders vs. St. Michael's Warriors

The Concordia Lutheran Crusaders will head out on the road to square off against the St. Michael's Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Concordia Lutheran will be strutting in after a win while St. Michael's will be coming in after a defeat.

Concordia Lutheran will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Antonian Prep, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. The Crusaders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-38 victory over the Apaches on Friday.

Meanwhile, St. Michael's played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 46-6 loss at the hands of St. Thomas Catholic. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-6.

St. Michael's has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Concordia Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Everything came up roses for Concordia Lutheran against St. Michael's in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 45-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
