Basketball Recap: Broad Run Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

Broad Run's game on Thursday was all tied up 24-24 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 64-57 win over the Heritage Pride. The victory was familiar territory for the Spartans who have now won three matchups in a row.

Despite the defeat, Heritage saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jordan Garland went 5 of 8 en route to 18 points and six rebounds. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for Garland. Another player making a difference was Tyler Burns, who posted nine points.

Broad Run pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.1 points per game. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.
