Basketball Recap: Madden Parisien's Big Game Can't Quite Lead St. John over Langdon/Munich

St. John blew Langdon/Munich out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Langdon/Munich got their revenge. The St. John Woodchucks fell just short of the Langdon/Munich Cardinals by a score of 63-60. The Woodchucks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2015.

St. John's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madden Parisien, who went 8-for-18 en route to 22 points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards Parisien has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Simon LaRocque, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.

Even though they lost, St. John smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

St. John's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.

As of now, neither they nor Langdon/Munich have any future games scheduled.
