Basketball Recap: Watseka/Milford Takes a Loss

Watseka/Milford has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Salt Fork Storm.

Watseka/Milford's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 22-3. As for Salt Fork, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 24-2.

Watseka/Milford and Salt Fork should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Watseka/Milford (ranked 179th) will meet St. Thomas More (ranked 546th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Salt Fork will take on Oakwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday up 424 places (157 vs. 581).
