Pella took an eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Oskaloosa, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Dutch won by a run and slipped past the Indians 11-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Dutch considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Pella is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Oskaloosa, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-11.

Coincidentally, Pella and Oskaloosa will both be playing Indianola the next time they take the field. The Dutch will host the Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Indians will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
