Walkertown hasn't had much luck against McMichael recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wolfpack will venture away from home to square off against the Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. Walkertown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

Walkertown's last matchup with McMichael could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Tuesday. The Wolfpack came up short against the Phoenix, falling 12-4.

For McMichael's part, Lindsay Redmon made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Redmon was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Ryleigh Cope was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Lizzie Wilson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

McMichael kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 12 consecutive games dating back to last season.

McMichael pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Walkertown, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Walkertown has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .436. However, it's not like McMichael struggles in that department as they've averaged .512. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
