Basketball Recap: Oyler Takes a Loss

Oyler lost to Gamble Montessori back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Madhatters took a blow against the Gators, falling 64-14. The matchup marked the Madhatters' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Karriyah Hill was her usual excellent self, going 10-for-19 on her way to 25 points and four steals for Gamble Montessori. Another player making a difference was Dezurai Davis Reed, who shot 67% from the field en route to 12 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Oyler's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Gamble Montessori, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.

Oyler will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Middletown Christian at 2:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Gamble Montessori, they will take on Clark Montessori at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Gators surely won't give up without a fight.
