Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jefferson Academy). Everything went their way against the Denver Christian Thunder on Thursday as they made off with an 8-2 victory. It was an even better day for Matteo Gagliano as he scored three goals for his team.

Jefferson Academy's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-1-3 and their overall record up to 6-2-3. As for Denver Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Coincidentally, Jefferson Academy and Denver Christian will both be playing Prospect Ridge Academy the next time they take the pitch. The Jaguars will host the Miners at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Thunder will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
