Northmont dropped their record down to 11-12-1 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against  the Tippecanoe Red Devils, falling  17-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Thunderbolts have suffered  since April 16th.
  Aidan Pendleton was cooking despite his team's loss,   going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.  Brady Lupton was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with one  double and one  RBI.
As for Tippecanoe, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matchups by six  runs or more this season.
 On Tippecanoe's side, they let  James Merry and  Preston Zumwalt run wild. Merry  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double, while  Zumwalt  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. Those  three  runs gave  Merry a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Brady Liskey, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Looking ahead, Northmont will challenge Lebanon at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Tippecanoe, they will face off against Miamisburg at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
