Soccer Game Preview: Anacortes vs. Burlington-Edison

The Anacortes Seahawks will venture away from home to challenge the Burlington-Edison Tigers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Anacortes is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Anacortes' offense. They came up short against Archbishop Murphy on Thursday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Anacortes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 144th, while Archbishop Murphy are ranked 25th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Burlington-Edison was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to Squalicum. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Burlington-Edison haven't been shut out since back in March.

Anacortes' defeat dropped their record down to 9-7-2. As for Burlington-Edison, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6-4.
