Basketball Recap: Friendswood Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Friendswood won the last time they faced Texas City and things went their way on Thursday too. The Friendswood Mustangs were the clear victor by a 52-27 margin over the Texas City Stingarees. The Mustangs pushed the score to 47-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Stingarees cut but never quite recovered from.

Texas City's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Vasia Farris, who posted 14 points, and Kaydence Peoples, who earned 11 points.

Friendswood is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season. As for Texas City, their defeat was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-20.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Ball the next time they take the court. Friendswood will head out to face Ball at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Texas City will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
