Volleyball Game Preview: Dawson-Bryant Hornets vs. Chesapeake Panthers

Dawson-Bryant hasn't had much luck against Chesapeake recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Dawson-Bryant came up short against South Point and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19, 14-25, 25-23.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Chesapeake, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Ironton with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Fighting Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-11, 25-14.

Dawson-Bryant better keep an eye on Bre Scarberry. She was instrumental in Chesapeake's win, getting ten digs and one assist.

Chesapeake was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

Chesapeake's record now sits at 17-5. As for Dawson-Bryant, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Dawson-Bryant suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Chesapeake in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
