Football Game Preview: Humphreys County Cowboys vs. Greenville Hornets

The Humphreys County Cowboys will head out on the road to face off against the Greenville Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Humphreys County will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.

Humphreys County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Coahoma County, posting a 41-0 victory.

Meanwhile, after only six points in their last matchup, Greenville made sure to put some points up on the board against Edwards on Friday. The Hornets snuck past the Tigers with a 32-28 win.

Humphreys County better focus on containing Ladarius Adkins and Isaiah Green as the pair were huge in Greenville's win. Adkins rushed for 61 yards and one score, while Green rushed for 50 yards and one TD.

Greenville's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Humphreys County, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Humphreys County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Greenville in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, but they still walked away with a 12-6 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Green, who rushed for 161 yards while picking up 8.1 yards per carry.
