Football Game Preview: El Cajon Valley Braves vs. Monte Vista Monarchs + How To Watch

The El Cajon Valley Braves will head out to square off against the Monte Vista Monarchs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, El Cajon Valley came up short against Santana and fell 21-14. The Braves have struggled against the Sultans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

El Cajon Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Gavino Kendall-Pinal, Leo Jones, Rashaunn Barr, and Devaun Alexis picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, Monte Vista was just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 7-6 to West Hills.

El Cajon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Monte Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

El Cajon Valley took a serious blow against Monte Vista when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 40-12. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
