Soccer Recap: Wauconda Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Wauconda after they claimed the first goal on Monday, however, they wouldn't score again. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the South Elgin Storm who were credited with the win. The South Elgin Storm got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Wauconda Bulldogs' three. Wauconda have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Bella Ramirez, who's now up to two this season.

Wauconda now has a losing record of 3-4. As for South Elgin, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-5-1.

Coming up, Wauconda will venture away from home to face off against Lakes at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Elgin, they will host Saint Viator at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
