Volleyball Recap: Austin Gets the Win

Austin's tournament run continued when they took on Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial on Thursday. The Maroons walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Maroons.

Maggie McCarroll paced Austin's offense, picking up ten kills. McCarroll also shared the team's lead in assists with Nora Bettis: they picked up 13 each. Catalina Rebolloso controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Austin's win bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.

Austin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Dimond on the 28th. As for Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Canyon on the 28th.
