Recap: Highland Huskies vs. Dover Dragons
Even though the Dover Dragons scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, the Highland Huskies still came out on top. Highland pulled ahead with a 57-56 photo finish over the Dragons. That's another feather in the cap for Highland, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Dover's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justin Cardwell, who scored 20 points. Cardwell continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Caden Green was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Highland's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Dover, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Pine Plains the next time they take the court. Dover will head out to face Pine Plains at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Highland will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
