Baseball Game Preview: LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls vs. Sebring Blue Streaks

LaBelle is 0-6 against Sebring since February of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls will look to defend their home field against the Sebring Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. Sebring took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on LaBelle, who comes in off a win.

If LaBelle beats Sebring with ten runs on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. LaBelle didn't even let Immokalee on the board on Thursday, marking LaBelle's second-straight 10-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Cowboys/Cowgirls in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won seven in a row.

Kaleb Mclymont looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Elijah Williams, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Lonnie Campos, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

LaBelle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Immokalee only posted an OBP of .261.

Meanwhile, Sebring had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Hardee by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday.

Sebring saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jamarcus Gomez, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
