Basketball Recap: Davis Wins Going Away Against Sky View

On Tuesday, the Davis Darts didn't have too much trouble with the Sky View Bobcats as they won 53-39.

T'Maea Eteuati was her usual excellent self, going 9 of 21 on her way to 20 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Lydia Tarbet, who posted six points in addition to seven steals and six boards.

Davis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why Sky View lost, don't look at Claire Fischer. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. That was a full 41% of Sky View's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Eskelson, who put up ten points along with six assists and five boards.

Davis now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Sky View, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.

Davis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-44 victory against Riverton on the 12th. As for Sky View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 63-44 defeat against Snow Canyon on the 12th.
