Football Recap: Clarksdale's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

It was a proper cat-fight when Clarksdale faced off against South Panola on Friday. The Wildcats took a 21-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost nine in a row.

South Panola can attribute much of their success to Tyler Christon, who rushed for 94 yards and one score. Those 94 rushing yards gave Christon a new career-high.

Having lost for the first time this season, Clarksdale fell to 3-1. As for South Panola, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarksdale will challenge Gentry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for South Panola, they will head out on the road to square off against Horn Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
