Softball Recap: Dana Hills Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Dana Hills's offense. They came up short against the Mater Dei Monarchs on Saturday, falling 10-0. The Dolphins have struggled against the Monarchs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Dana Hills' loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Mater Dei, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dana Hills will welcome Santiago at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Santiago's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Dana Hills' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Mater Dei, they will square off against Orange Lutheran at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Mater Dei 3.2, Orange Lutheran 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
