Baseball Game Preview: Badin Rams vs. Butler Aviators

Badin has won three straight games at home, while Butler has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Rams will host the Aviators at 2:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Badin 2, Butler 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Badin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Monroe with a sharp 12-2 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 19 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Brooks Treadway looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kade Bowling was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Chandler Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Butler came out on top against Ross on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Aviators took their game against the Rams 5-2.

Butler's victory bumped their record up to 26-2. As for Badin, their win bumped their record up to 27-6.

Badin came out on top in a nail-biter against Butler when the teams last played back in May of 2019, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Aviators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
