Volleyball Recap: Kimball Gets the Win + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Eden Valley-Watkins, Kimball was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Rockford Rockets by a score of 3-1. The Cubs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rockets, too.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 14-25, 26-24, 25-16.

Mazie Jurek paced Kimball's offense, picking up 19 kills. Jurek got some help from Hope Kuechle and her 23 assists. Kuechle was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the loss, Rockford still got an impressive performance from Anna Feyen, who had 15 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Gabby Altmann, who had 13 digs and two aces.

Kimball's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Rockford, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

Coincidentally, Kimball and Rockford will both be playing Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted the next time they take the court. The Cubs will head out to face the Lakers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Rockets will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
