Baseball Recap: Western Gets the Win

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Western ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Dade Christian Warriors 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Jimmy Huard looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Western saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miguel Tapia, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Western's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Dade Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Western will face off against Dr. Krop at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dade Christian, they will square off against Centennial at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
